LBCC & Cypress Spring 2014

Hi everyone!

I thought I would start the a post for anyone who has just applied to LBCC this past august 2013, and Cypress this September 2013 for admission to Spring 2014 programs! Letters of acceptance should hopefully be sent out for LBCC end of sept, beginning of October. Has anyone received theirs yet or know other dates??

Got my letter today from LBCC. I'm an alternate. Wondering what my chances are.....

I guess last semester they went through 15 of the 20 alternates so you definitely have a chance!

if you dont mind me asking, what were you grades in anat, micro and physio?

A's in all 3 science classes... But that doesn't mean ill get in, it's kind of luck of the draw I'm pretty sure it's broken into gpa pools and then picked at random so someone with a 3.75 could get picked even though I have a 4.0

I have A's in all my sciences too. Did you get the email asking for your social?

This is my third time applying - I had a A in Micro, B in Anat and C in Physio, however - I do have my BS. So - I'm not an "A" student.

Well hopefully you get in this round. Alternates have been said to get in quite often.

Thanks - do you know if we get a assigned a # or is it at random, as well? Thanks for the info. Keeping my fingers crossed, that's for sure.

You are assigned a number. It's not disclosed publicly, however. So they will go in order of a list.

Got a letter in the mail.. I did NOT get in.. but this was my 1st time applying. I had a 4.0 in sciences but also have a bachelor degree that is not a 4.0 so who knows how they pick and decide what category my GPA is in.. I guess I'll be applying again in March. Good luck everyone!

awww, I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, kinda sucks for people with good grades with the lottery system. But I'm very sure you will get into Cypress, since you have all 30 points. So, don't be so disappointed.

I haven't gotten my letter from LBCC, but I really don't think I'm lucky either...
