Gateway CC LPN Cohort Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey All,

I thought I'd create a thread for future LPN applicants awaiting admission for, hopefully, the Fall 2016 cohort.

I was hoping for a lucky spring 2016 spot, but oh well..., so here's to hoping for this fall.

I finished a nursing assistant course at Paradise Valley Community College and submitted my PN application on 12/7/2015. So I thought others can share their "patience" on here like me.

@nikkish, I guess I'm confused to your question. Section 6 is in regards to what you need in order to APPLY to the program. For example, when I first was going to apply to the LPN program, I thought my CNA license would expire in 6 months. So by the time I got offered placement it would be expired. The advisor said as long as it was valid at the date of my application, I would be fine. That is what section 6 is trying to explain about the test scores.

I got a regret to inform you email yesterday! They said I was number 3 on the waitlist.

Just got the same denial email yesterday. But she did say I was #1 on the waitlist so a spot opening this fall was "highly likely."

So here's to hoping for someone's deferment í ½í¸¬

Hello,

New to this thread...I also just received my email yesterday for placement for Fall 2016. Super excited. She said early June is when they plan on sending out an official offer which will state if it's the day or evening cohort.

Hi! You got placed for Fall 2016, when did you apply??

So how many people do they take per semester? I'm applying next month? And was hoping I could get in by Spring 2017. Do you think that's realistic? Or would it look more like Fall 2017? Thanks!

@ shanty3710. I submitted my application in August

I got an email saying 64 applicants were admitted for this fall but it could vary every semester I'm sure.

I think if you apply now or next month you would have a decent chance of getting in for spring.

I finally got accepted! Got the email a few days ago for the day cohort.

Awesome! Congratulations! Is it for this Fall or next Spring? Was the day program your first choice?

It's for this fall, starting in August. Since I was waitlisted, I didn't get a choice of either day or evening but I did get the day cohort which is what I was hoping since I work part time in the evening!
