Is anyone applying for the term March 2017 at Galen in Florida?

Specializes in GENERAL.

Go to (collegescorecard.ed.gov).

You will find the Galen Colleges listed.

Their yearly tuition is ~$22, 000, excluding books and miscellaneous fees.

Their graduation and retention rate is above the national average.

These are good things.

My suggestion would be to save yourself a lot of money by taking the prerequisites on the cheap at the local CC, then decide where to finish.

You have to get the degree as cost effective as possible so when you graduate you keep the majority of your paycheck and not some loan shark.

I will say this, as far as the for-profits in Florida are concerned, Galen and Chamberlain due to their much better G/R rates in particular have a great competitive edge over South University and the University of Phoenix which have seen their heyday but are presently whithering on the vine due to lawsuits and sub-par performance accountability over the past several years.

But these schools are all expensive.

So OP, if you're going to go to a for-profit school you might as well go to one that actually produces graduates not just unhappy debt ridden ex-students wishing they had never fell for the sweet talk from the academic (marketing) recruiters.

Specializes in Peds, Med-Surg, Disaster Nsg, Parish Nsg.

Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools / Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.
