Hi,

I took my first TEAS V test today at Darton and though I was labeled "Proficient" I totally bombed it with an Adjusted Individual Total Score of 59.3%! I am really dismayed at this because I studied and studied. The science portion was extremely difficult and my score showed at 37.5%. I hardly recognized any questions from the study guide. It was my last section, and I was completed drained after completing it. Math wasn't much better with 50%. Reading was 81% and ELU was 70%. My GPA is 3.04 and I'm currently taking AP2 this summer. I was so hoping to get into the Cordele track, which only accepts students in the Fall. I could just cry. What are my chances????

Can you retake before fall? Apply anyway because I know personally a girl Who had a scor in the 50s and was accepted. Your gpa is good. I had a 3.3 gpa and scored I'm the 70s and was accepted. They accept tons of students every semester and over half end up withdrawing because the the program is strict. Good luck

Hey. I just started there this summer. Ppl are shocked that they only accepted 30 of us, when they usually accept 100+. However, I had a 78 overall on my TEAS. Good luck.

Thanks for your replies. I could have only retaken before June 14 (Darton's last TEAS test date) and would have to retake at another site and that's just not feasible for me this semester. I'm just hoping for the best. If I don't get accepted for the Fall, I'll study harder for the TEAS and try again for the Spring. After that...I don't know. I already have a BA, so I didn't need any classes except AP1,2, and Micro.

I'd take Anatomy and Phys, Microbiology, Nutrition, and a math before I'd took the Teas V if I were you. I saw some chemistry on the Teas V too. I recently bought McGraw-Hill Nursing school Entrance Exam book to prepare myself for the Teas V. Good Luck.

Just wanted to update that I made it into the program! I am super excited and a little scared at the time same time! I prayed God's will and so I'm walking through the door He has opened!!

I took my TEAS today & scored 63%. I sure hope I get in. I have applied for spring 2015.
