APU ELM Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if any other aspiring future nurses out there are applying to Azusa Pacific's Entry-Level Masters program for spring 2018. I applied a couple of weeks ago and it would be awesome to chat with others who are in the same boat. I've been an avid reader on this site for a very long time and this is my first post.

Has anyone who applied to the Azusa campus heard back about interviews yet? It's been 2 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything yet =\

Hey mellie. I applied to main campus and interviewed a few weeks ago. I applied very early though, around mid-January. She said interviews will be going until the end of April so you still have over a month to hear back from them!

I submitted my application in person to the Inland Empire campus during the last week before March 1 and have not heard back yet. I'm still anxiously waiting along with you mellie123.

Thanks for the update Elijah. Sometimes it's impossible to even get a reply from the azusa rep.

I wonder how they choose who to interview? I'm starting to wonder if my own gpa is even good enough to apply. ...Nevertheless, it's only March 16th! I hope you all hear back sooner than you think ;)...I think I read in one forum that some people got in without an interview.

Hopeful Kim, they have an actual point system which they use. If you browse through the previous years, other applicants have said that you need at least 30 points to be considered for an interview, but I'm not sure how correct that information is.

On a happy note, to those applying to the Azusa campus, I did hear back from the representative and she said that a bulk of the applications were received on March 1st. The university strives to interview everyone but if you aren't interviewed, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are rejected (for those wondering about the website saying that interviews are not guaranteed if sent near the deadline). Lastly, she said that they usually start scheduling interviews towards the end of this month and into April.

Oh thank you! I didn't know about the point system being used for interviews. That makes sense though. I wish I knew what the points were based on.

That's great news about the a Azusa campus!

Check the spring 2017 forum. They talked about the different sections somewhere in there. Two different GPA calculations, work experience, volunteer experience, etc

Hi All!

i also applied for Spring 2018 enrollment for the Monrovia site. Not sure if this forum is making me more anxious or at ease lol. I submitted my full application mid feb and have not yet heard back regarding an interview. Good luck to you all!

I believe it is anxiety-provoking at least for me!! haha oh well, it is good to be informed. (:

Hello ya'll Im joining in on this group chat because I too applied for the IE campus for the ELM program. I haven't heard anything back about any interview, but I did submit my application a few days before the deadline.
