Applicants to Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health - Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone! Today I attended the orientation session for the Spring 2018 semester at LAC -CONAH (Los Angeles County - College Of Nursing and Allied Health. Lots of good info/tips were given. I have submitted my application already. This time around, they are taking applications online. I previously applied to the Fall 2017 semester, but did not make it in because one of my transcripts arrived late. Hopefully, I will make it in this second time. Anyone else out there who is applying to next year's generic session? How about the bridge (LVN to RN) program? I took the ATI TEAS with them this year, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Here goes the long-waiting-to-hear-if-I-make-it-in all over again! Gotta love it

Have you received anything in the mail about the program? I haven't and I know they are having a TEAS exam on Sept 15th. Just a few weeks away. I have everything submitted but haven't heard anything back.

No. The rules and policies in this school are neither welcoming nor responsive in certain ways. I apply to the school for back up plans but I just find out that the process is inefficient and difficult.

No. They are inefficient in the selection process. I'd rather a clear selection criteria than any hidden agenda. They said they are not lottery system but the point system is only for their own use not for public. They are the least favorite choice in my list.

Hi!I applied for Spring 18 as well but haven't heard back from them yet.I know they mentioned that they'd send us info on how to schedule an appointment to take the ATI with them if you haven't taken it already.I'm so nervous! I hope we hear good news from them soon!

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share that I received an email from them to fill out the Pre Admission Advisement form. The email also contains a Teas consent form. Which I didn't have to fill out because I already took my teas and sent my score.

So. Ayve they will be selecting for the teas exams soon?

Check your emails. :)

Me too!!! Should we bring the form there or mail it ??

I don't know! I will have to call tomorrow and also find out when it's due.

It says to bring with you if you are taking the TEAS there, or mail it in if you are taking it somewhere else. Do we hand write or answers on the form? Or can they be typed on a separate paper?

Anything new on LA County Nursing application for spring 2018?

Nothing new for me. Does anyone know if the "application portal" is still accessible? I remember you could view what items had been received and which were missing.

I haven't heard anything. Most likely it will be after Oct.15th since that is the last day to turn in the TEAS score. I think I read somewhere that they will send out acceptance letters on or before Nov. 1.
