Nursing Students School Programs

I was wondering how competitive it is now. I've done some research on average GPAs, HESI scores etc. of those admitted into WKU's BSN program, but can only find older information. I know someone who was just accepted with a 3.8 GPA and a very high HESI score and was wondering if that was the norm? How likely is it that someone with a lower GPA (but above 3.0), 3.5 science GPA, and above 85% on the HESI will be accepted? Any info will ease the stress!:)

I just applied for spring 2015 and I've heard that people were getting in last year with 2.75. I think the program expansion has really helped widen the acceptance rates. Good luck to you!

Thanks so much for that! You've made me feel like 1000 times better. LOL. I was so nervous that I was trying for something impossible. Good luck to you too! Maybe we'll see each other next semester!!:)

So did you apply for January '15 admission? We're supposed to hear Oct 1st. Geez! The waiting is killing me! Lol

Yeah! I turned my application in back in May, and I've been going crazy since then. I've even started second guessing whether or not I put Spring 2014 or Spring 2015 on my application lol. But, I'm so happy that the wait is almost over- 3 MORE WEEKS!!!

Dang! You were way ahead of me! I waited till like end of July lol. Sounds like we should be in good shape as far as our record looks. I've had to work really hard to push my GPA up because I've got like 90 hrs but I've been able to hold at 3.3 overall and 3.7 in science. Fingers crossed and really biting my nails lol I'm so siked to find someone else on here applying!

Yeah me too! & I can't wait to get that email.

Ditto! Best of luck to you!

You too! Keep me updated!!

Just an update: ACCEPTANCE LETTERS WERE SENT TODAY! I got in!!! :woot:

LOL How awkward would it be if I hadn't got in!? Are you in nursing 102 this semester on Monday? There were 3 in my group that got in?

I congrats too! Doesn't it feel awesome!?
