  1. Firstly congrats! And thanks for the info on green river scrubs! How many pairs did you get?? We are all still waiting on the info on the cpr certification and all of that also. I was hoping it would come today since our info was due on the 13th. And I thought the info by the orientation date meant that we could buy them there at orientation but it could mean that we need them by then. Hopefully we hear more back soon. If you have a Facebook you should join our group for BSN December 2016 class! You can add me and I'll add you to the group! Just look up Natima alexander.
  2. I think we can go ahead and get the scrubs as long as they comply with the type described in our letter. And orientation is January 22 at one. It's on one of the pages in the email we received. And thanks for info on the Bp cuff. I'm going to get that one then.
  3. I have no idea on how we are gonna do that and also, yeah, I'm definitely getting a Littmann. Hey, we don't need to set up an appointment with our old advisor do we?
  4. Lol, yeah I changed my name. Once I saw that it was an option I decided to try it out..but now I wish I wouldn't have lol. Anyways. I think we should get as many people that were accepted as we possibly can to join allnurses and just create our own little forum on what we are buying and the best deals, etc. I really want to buy my scrubs and other clothing items now, but I am hesitant... And I am hesitant to by my BP cuff because I heard that the wrong one will give you a defective result? I'm not sure. Have any of you guys looked at the prices for the shoes? And can they just be athletic shoes?
  5. My boyfriend can't survive unless he can find as many bargains as possible and it can get to him in two days or less lol. He kind of rubbed off on me lol. & Yeah, I wish we could all get to know each other before the program starts. And you can choose your advisor? That's something new to me. To my understanding, an advisor in Nursing school does more than just tell you what classes to choose? Lol Thanks in advance for the list.
  6. Yeah, I'm in group one. I've done a lot of research before I even applied to Nursing school and I knew some of the items that I wanted and their ratings etc. so I just went ahead and got that stuff on Amazon.com. I'm hoping to try the scrubs on first so I'm getting my scrubs, lab coat, etc from one of the two stores listed on our letter. Since the first semester is so expensive I wish they would give us a book list earlier than they will so I could shop around for the best price.
  7. Well congrats to you too! Sorry, I had to verify if you were accepted or not. The next day I went to one of my other classes and asked if someone next to me was accepted andThere were at least 4 or 5 people outside with me making phone calls to their family members telling them that they got accepted. And I know, I'm ready to get started too. I've already started buying things that I will need lol.
  8. So you were accepted too?!! And yeah I am! only two of us in my group had applied. I'm the only one in the group that openly announced that I was accepted so I'm not sure about my other group member.
  9. Just an update: ACCEPTANCE LETTERS WERE SENT TODAY! I got in!!!
  10. Yeah me too! & I can't wait to get that email.
  11. Yeah! I turned my application in back in May, and I've been going crazy since then. I've even started second guessing whether or not I put Spring 2014 or Spring 2015 on my application lol. But, I'm so happy that the wait is almost over- 3 MORE WEEKS!!!
  12. Thanks so much for that! You've made me feel like 1000 times better. LOL. I was so nervous that I was trying for something impossible. Good luck to you too! Maybe we'll see each other next semester!!:)
  13. I was wondering how competitive it is now. I've done some research on average GPAs, HESI scores etc. of those admitted into WKU's BSN program, but can only find older information. I know someone who was just accepted with a 3.8 GPA and a very high HESI score and was wondering if that was the norm? How likely is it that someone with a lower GPA (but above 3.0), 3.5 science GPA, and above 85% on the HESI will be accepted? Any info will ease the stress!:)
