Any recent WKU Nursing students?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I was wondering how competitive it is now. I've done some research on average GPAs, HESI scores etc. of those admitted into WKU's BSN program, but can only find older information. I know someone who was just accepted with a 3.8 GPA and a very high HESI score and was wondering if that was the norm? How likely is it that someone with a lower GPA (but above 3.0), 3.5 science GPA, and above 85% on the HESI will be accepted? Any info will ease the stress!:)

Lol I'd say just trying to stay on top of it bc our class is bigger?

I'm gonna contact them tomorrow

Hey guys! Curious... How many were accepted to the BSN and how many to the ADN (I've heard only 40 for ADN). Congrats to all of you by the way!

I'm in the ADN we have about twenty some on my class. I'm not sure the exact number.

So did they only accept 20? I received an email from Lynnita Glass just a second ago that said they accept between 40 & 60?

if that's what she said is the truth. She is the ADN program guru.

LoL...I know right? I guess I was under the impression that all new nursing students take ALL classes together. Which wouldn't make a bit of sense because the rooms aren't that large í ½í¸Š

we do have our class together except lab/ clinical

Well that's crazy if there's only 20 something like you said...I just remember Lynnita saying they accept 40-60 students.

I asked yesterday we have about 30. My bad. But yeah. Idk why there isn't more.

Alot of people want the BSN program which to me is a waste of time. Bc in the ADN program u get to work as an RN IN 2 years and we get applications at orientation for guaranteed admission to the BSN bridge as long as we pass NCLEX-RN.

That's ridiculous! I was under the impression that they were accepting between 40 & 60! I'm going to call up there today just to be 100% sure. I know Lynnita told me those numbers, but you said 30? That's crazy!
