U.S.A. Oklahoma

Hello All,

I am very happy to be back on Allnurses.com. I haven't been able to log into my old account so I had to create a new one. Anywho, the reason for this post is I received my acceptance letter for LPN school in OKC. I am very excited and happy that I have been given a second chance to accomplish my goal of becoming a nurse. Not sure if the school I've been accepted into is a good one though, but I am grateful. RN here I come!!..God is good!...:nurse:

Thank you Lovely and Future. I will look forward to an update.

I have wanted to go to Francis Tuttle LPN program but my compass scores were not high enough. :( However, I did get accepted into LPN program at Platt starts in September. I have heard some pros & cons of the school but I am just excited to finally get in somewhere. I hope Im making a good decision :banghead:

Is platt accredited? If so I might check out their program depending on price and length of time.

Congrats to your acceptance at Platt Sheeky.. My boyfriends brother got accepted into Platt's September nursing program as well. I almost attended Platt on two occasions, but changed my mind because I had a feeling I'll get into one of Okc's technical nursing programs.. I've heard good and bad things about Platt as well, but to tell you the truth it's only what you make it. I know lots of ppl graduate from their program and become successful nurses. Good luck to you and your goals....

@xlovehappyx...To answer your question, no Platt is not regionally accredited by the NLNAC, but that doesn't mean you can't get into any of the OKC community colleges upon graduating from their PN program. I know OCCC will take Platt's credits ONLY if you pass a few of their challenge exams (or whatever they call those tests) before being accepted into their RN program.. I'm not sure about Rose State or OSU-OKC though.. That's something you'll have to research...I hope that helps a little. Good luck to you as well...

Thank yall I feel somewhat excited about attending Platt. It is true its how you make it or break it to graduation. I'm not going to focus on the cost just that I want to be a dang Nurse at any amount. :)

I totally understand sheeky!!!!. That's exactly how I felt at one point. I didn't care what school I chose to attend for nursing, as long as I graduated with a degree and became a nurse I was satisfied! Lol. Good luck to you and you're welcome...

I was wondering what was the cut off for Francis Tuttle's lpn program. I have 21 points at the moment.

Hey sheeky! I am about to start the Practical Nursing program at Platt in a week and I was wondering if you ended up attending and if you like the program? Let me know! Thanks :)
