Two. One midterm and a final. Open book, open note. Time limit varies depending on which professor you have.

I am there too.

Anyone take the class already? How bad is it?

Hi Gang! Back on the boards. Have not seen NRSE 4540 class on blackboard yet. Anyone seen it yet? Am I missing the class? It is Sunday 2/17/13 - and I still don't see the class in Blackboard. Has anyone else seen it on Blackboard? Supposedly they had a data load problem on Saturday and they "fixed" it. I still don't see it. Would like to know if I am the only one, or if others can access the class on Blackboard or not? Thanks a lot. I am hoping for answers from here as it is Sunday and not sure who I can reach at Ohio today.

Actually, is the class even showing up in the Blackboard list of courses for others here at all?

I'm in too!!!!!!!!!!

I am in this class, first one after taking the NRSE 4510, I do not know what to expect lol. I noticed that I don't have it on blackboard, I will look tomorrow. Also, I will have to expedite my books since I was under the false impression that we had a break between classes, oh oh! Good luck everyone.

It is not up for me yet on Blackboard. Seems it often has been Sunday afternoon before I have seen them come up. Hopefully it will be available today since I have time to work on it... A friend of mine took it a couple of sessions ago. The reading for week 1 was chapters 1,2,3 & 5 out of the text book. I read all but 5 already. Ready to get started, been on a roll, may as well use the momentum!

On another note, just curious, what's everyone's experience with course evaluations? Once again, it appears that I haven't gotten an evaluation to fill out for my most recent class. Do they not request them anymore? Have had a couple classes that I wanted to give feedback as it was desperately needed. This class (gerontology) actually was pretty decent. Not a lot of confusion, etc. Better organized than the last two I took, although for some reason they changed week 1's assignment on like day 2 or 3 which was a bit odd. Was real glad I hadn't started on it yet!

Course evaluation? I didn't know we had to complete those, I just took the first NRSE so I don't have much experience with the program. Have you taken the Health Promotion or the Family Nursing class? Are they intense or anything out of the ordinary aside from the usual posts and APA papers? I do not know what to expect from these classes, I have a feeling that they will basically follow the same format as the NRSE 4510 just on more focused topics.

On most of my courses I got an evaluation link either in course announcements or in email to fill in. I took Health Promotion and Leadership last fall. Oh my... they were both tough in my opinion. Now, maybe it was because it was the first time each were offered as the combined courses that they now are but both were very unorganized. Worse two that I have taken. I did comment extensively as I believe others did; hopefully that will help improve them. The quizzes in leadership were so bad that they gave full credit if you just took them by the time requested! (Info asked on quizzes was not covered in assignments, etc.) I wonder if they are now going away from a lot of those quizzes, not sure, but had no quizzes in gerontology. I think I will take family or global health in May. Anyone take that Global Health yet? It fulfills the cross culture requirement.
