Who's on board for this class next session? Join up!

So, for the mod 5 paper, has anyone gotten started on it? Are you/or did you put in stuff like height and weight in your assessment or was it just the cultural assessment questions. I did my interview this afternoon, but now I'm not sure how to put it all together. TIPS anyone?

Got an 80 on my final test and I am really OK with that. Review all the previos test yourself questions an material.

Thanks for the reminder that there is one more quiz before we head for the summer until second summer starts. Anyone else taking family health for the second sesssion in July I think?

Working it on right now - it seems really straight forward - just cut and paste the Prof's outline, fill in the blanks and it seems ridiculously easy - this is an assessment - something we do daily - only this time it is for the 6 Giger and D's concepts + Census. I think my main problem, like someone else who mentioned it earlier - is trying to reduce it to 5 pages???!!!

@Emjean - I have found this class to be one of the easiest too and wish I had tripled up on classes this time. I have several BSN RN classes under my belt and I suppose I am used to the APA formatting requirements. I don't love APA and I do get dinged on issues with APA and references. I am just finished agonizing over it. After the inconsistency issues I had the last 5 weeks in NRS 325, this class is a breeze. Overall, I have found the BSN program to be eaiser than the ADN program. I'm sorry that some of you are having a difficult time in this class and I wish I had some words of wisdom but I do not. There is only one week left, I know that you can all get through this class!

Thanks for the support Modgoth

If you touch on ALL the points in the assessment (too paranoid not to!), plus do the census and personal bias (both not in the book!), AND headings, it is nearly impossible to keep it under 5 pages. I mentioned that on the QA board and my TA said to just do my best to keep it a 5 or less. Can't.....2 sentences past page 5 :p And I didn't even ramble on....I kept to the questions.

As for the difficulty of these classes, I've learned that I need to see it for myself before deciding on that. Everybody handles the work differently....... which can also be effected by the fairness of your TA. So nobody should feel they are falling behind or inferior......just because they don't score perfectly on every assignment. Took me 5 classes to come to terms with that! We are all doing great just by the mere fact we are surviving this fast paced program. 1 week left!

Did anyone write a purpose for this paper. My TA suggested it, but it doesn't look like it is required by the Rubric and it is tking up precious room I don't have. My TA also sent out a nice message with the headings in it so that all you had to do was cut and paste into word. BEWARE ther eis a whole section missing from her headings, the one on social organization. This paper is the last thing Ihave to do. Rough draft is written and I am 8 pages long without citations or references!

I don't think I am going to touch on ALL of the points in the assessment. There were area's that my client did not place much importance on and did not really expand upon. So, if I need to keep it to 5 pages or less, I will cut areas out. If I get dinged a few points for not including every single question in the assessment, so be it. I am not going to stress out over this final assignment.

I am so confused by this assignment in terms of how to present it. It's an assessment but I find I am discussing the cultural group as a whole. Is this correct? I thought it would be so easy but now I realize I'm not sure what to focus on. Can someone help me clarify. And how do we possibly prepare for this final test???

The last test covers all of the material we have covered the whole class. I took the test and got an 80, I really didn't study. It helps to review the previos test yourself questions. You'll be fine. Now for that paper! Stressed over it myself, its 20% of the final grade!
