COLUMBUS OHIO RN's.......I need advice and any networking leads you can give me!

I just graduated two weeks ago with my BSN from Xavier University.....I re-located back to columbus bc I was extremely home sick and wanted to be closer to my family......

I am well aware that jobs in Cbus are kinda scarce right now. I started my search three months ago, and yet to have a call back for an interview. I'm scheduled to take my boards in two weeks. I know once i have my license it will be somewhat easier, however most hospitals in the area want experienced nurses.

If any columbus ohio nurses on here have any advice. I'm very open for feedback. and especially if your units are hiring and new grad friendly--->I would love to email my resume to you to forward through to your unit manager. Ive been getting the run around with most hospitals recently and desperate to start even getting a call back!

I am especially interested in nationwide childrens bc all of my outside clinical experience has been with infants and children. I did my capstone rotation/role transition at Shriners in Cincinnati btw-loved it........

enought babble-please please please experienced columbus ohio nurses-HELP!

Hello, I work at the OSU med center as a sitter, and just received an e-mail from my supervisor about how they are hiring a bunch of new grads for the float pool. I believe they're hiring night shift only and unfortunately it's not children's hospital, nut as a float nurse you may be able to float to the infant floors. Many of the float pool nurses seem to enjoy going to different units everyday, though that can also be troublesome say if you forget certain aspects of a specialty. However it is always encouraged to ask questions. Good luck!
