Hello ladies,

I am a pre-nursing student right now but I wanted to ask a question here. I am due next Saturday and I wanted to know what I can do to help move labor along. With both my other boys I had them at 38 weeks and I am 39 wks now and have made no progress at all and don't show any signs of it (the Dr says). I am have contractions but they always stop. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)

Oh wow, I was in the same boat as you last March! As I'm sure you know, there are all sorts of wives tales out there on how to move labor along, some work and some don't. The only thing that worked for me (sort of) is walking...my little one (#3 for me as well) was stubborn and I had to be induced in the end, but I dilated enough via the walking activity to avoid a c-section. I hope that doesn't discourage you! The waiting is so hard this close to the end. Good luck, wishing you a wonderful delivery!
