We have 24/7 OB coverage by 1st, 3rd, and chief residents as well as staff physicians.

OBs in building during "business" hours - on call rest of the time
Same for Anesthesia
Usually both can get there in 5-10 minutes, but winter is coming and we have already had a snow storm that delayed surgical crew for a crash section on a weekend. Good outcome though - that's all that matters in the end.

Nov 16, '06We do about 4000 per year. We have a OB and Family medicine resident in house with a private practice OB that is their attending. We also have 24/7 anesthesia coverage on our floor. We also can have access to anesthesia personnel from the main OR if needed.
Nov 17, '06Last I checked we have around 4500 a year or so. Yes we have 24/7 in house anesthesia and 24/7 in house OB provider coverage.

24/7 Anesthesia in house but not just for us (we may have to wait for an epidural if they are busy with a trauma; they do have backup that they call)
