What helped me the most during school

Published

I spent no more than 3hrs/day studying/working on assignments. There is an endless amount of information in nursing and in medicine in general. Focus on the basics, and getting through nursing school. You will overwhelm yourself and burn out quickly if you don't put a limit on yourself. Remember, you will constantly learn, nursing is a life career not just the 2-3 yrs of school. Besides, to get a full understanding of what you read in books/class, you have to get a job and see it everyday.Cheers

There are a lot of resources available nowadays too. There's a good free app on the mobile stores to help you with pharm, labs, and diagnostics if you need help with that. Check it out, its called NCLEX Nursing Tools or the website nclexessentials.barcalabs.com. Best of luck.

That is so true. Nursing school just gets you to where you want to be and from there it's ongoing learning. You can never stop learning as a nurse.

Thanks for the advice! Also a good study tip is there are student nurses instagram pages that talk about various topics. Some are colorful with pictures too! Personally I'm not in Nursing school just yet but I'm getting ahead of the game by reading Saunders NCLEX-RN examination.
