What does "mmol/l" mean?

I writing a bunch of blood values to study on and I don't know what "mmol" stands for.

like:

HGB for male- 12-18g/dl or 8.7-11.2 mmol/ L (SI Units)

Can someone please explain to me what "mmol/ L (SI Units)" means?

I did go to acronym finder.com but unsuccessful :uhoh21:

mmol = millimole

Specializes in ICU/CCU (PCCN); Heme/Onc/BMT.

mmol/L is millimoles per liter. :)
