Does anyone know of a website that has medical abbreviations that I can copy and paste into word? Specifically I am looking for formatted ones, like "with"...the c with the line over it, "after" p with the line over it...etc...and others.
Thank you :)

Here is one for microsoft word:
http://www.theprogrammers.com/st.html?OVRAW=list%20of%20medical%20abbreviations&OVKEY=medical%20abbreviation&OVMTC=standard
but it is like $200:stone
I think you would need to be a transcriptionist to get your moneys worth...
Ohhh, ouch. No, I meant just a website where I can copy and paste from...lol. I am cheap =)...and can format my autocorrect to help me out...but thanks anyhow!
Where in the "real northern CA" are you?...I lived in Eureka for 10 yrs.

Cool, I went to CR for a year before moving to southern OR.. My best friends hubby is an RN, he went to HSU in Arcata. My family is still all there and will be down visiting over thanksgiving. I moved away 3 yrs ago b/c I met my future hubby on the internet =). I surely don't miss the rain and fog but do miss the ocean (sigh). My parents & bros/sis are there so at least I can come visit.
Thanks for the websites...not quite what I was looking for tho...I want ones that are formatted (like the c with the little line on top?) I don't know how to format that myself...lol.
Thanks!

Did you check the "Insert, Symbols" command in Word? I haven't specifically looked for those things, but I think MS might have a free download to add to what the program comes with. I've been able to find a lot of math symbols in there.
Yip! I love the insert symbols. I make my own study guides and b/c I am a visual learner, I use as many of those that I can (without looking cluttery). I tried to find a free download for MS Word (add on) with no luck. Even had hubby try and find one for me and he couldn't either...and he is usually good at finding things like that.
Thanks anyhoo!

This is a very old thread, but I solved this problem with the information on this page:
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Overbar.htm
I followed the instructions about 3/4 of the way down the page and lowered the bar by 2 points to make it look correct. I hope this helps -- Sorry it took me 5 years to get back to you. :-)
