What do you mean by "change staff mode"?

for example, make little party to change sad mood or go to the sea.

Go to the sea? Sounds like a language or cultural issue here. What country are you in?

I'm a pediatric nurse and have experienced my fair share of pediatric death and I don't think either of these things would be helpful. Who wants to have a party because children died? I can't imagine a PICU taking a trip to the sea- inpatient units typically don't do such things and how would you ensure that all the nurses who were affected by these children's deaths were able to participate? Someone's gotta be staffing the unit.

Sorry May I explain wrong I just mean change staff mode to forget what happen every day. There is person death child or adult every day and this is the life. we have to forget that to butter performance I did not mean beg party I want to say make something different to change routine And for sea I mean make a tripe as example FOR BETTER JOB PERFORMANCE .. Sorry for misunderstanding .. have a nice day all.

Who asked me from where I am American nurse.

Inpatient units don't take staff trips for morale. It just doesn't happen. Not in a hospital, home care, or outpatient. There is no way to fully staff a unit if half the staff is on a trip to the "sea". Even with facility or unit celebrations for nurses week, holidays or staff appreciation it is nearly impossible for scheduling to be rearranged to ensure full unit staffing and participation by all. Someone always gets left out hence why many companies have stopped such events.

There are crisis counselors and teams that are available to assist staff having difficulties with a patient death. There are also employee assistance programs for 1:1 counseling. For unexpected or traumatic deaths the crisis or bereavement teams are called in but the unit must maintain staffing to ensure all patients have safe and competent care.

For many trips & parties aren't morale boosters, especially with tragedy on a unit.

I am not being unkind....you English and grammar says that you are from overseas. The same questions posted by those in a similar program that post here are from Saudi and Palestine.

Americans do not "go to the sea"

I am sure that maybe you explained wrong and just mean to change the staff mode to forget what happens every day. There are deaths every day of adults and children this is the way life is. We have to forget that to better performance a big party isn't necessary and a trip to the sea might help improve work performance.

Nurses do not like being deceived...it is clear that while you do well in expressing yourself in English.......you are not in America. we are happy to help in your assignments but we do not do your work for you.

Facilities in the US do not hold trips (as a general rule) to go on trips and outings. In 35 years of being a nurse I have worked at a total of 2 department that did in 2 different facilitates.

American nurses want good benefits. They want good pay. They want to be respected and have input on decisions that affect them. We have debriefing teams that will crisis debrief particularly difficult situations...

US employers also have employee assistance programs that employees can attend for low or no cost.
