Hi. I was wondering if anybody has a list of all the IV sites? I've been searching online & can't seem to find one. I have the very beginning of the list but am unable to get the rest of it & having it would really help me out! Thank you!

As others have said, you just find whatever vein you can find.
ER loves to stick them all in the AC unless it's a really bad vein. They don't heplock their IVs either (at least not at my hospital!)
As far as documentation goes, if it's in the AC, we document "#20 in L (or R) AC." Anywhere else it's just the general location...R/L arm, forearm, wrist, hand...and of course the gauge #.

Start low and go up. When in doubt stick it in the AC. That was a general rule for us but take what you can get. And dont forget when you should suggest PICC lines!
With documenting it is real vague like others have said. R or L FA 18G
