Wow that is a hard one. Do you mean, How do you cite a pda source or how do you reference one in your references???

http://www.son.utmb.edu/research/APA/APAguide.htm

Try that link, it explains how to reference one in apa format. You would probably cite it by Author (2005) as per usual in the body of your text.

Hope this helps?

Try the Purdue University site APA formatting-easy.

You'll get the hang of it quickly.Any search engine can take you there if you enter those words. Actually most major universities have examples too. Just print it out and copy the formatting.

You'll do fine.

Now on the other hand....is your message asking how to put an apa program on your pda?

Try this link if that is the case. http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=442187

Amazing that they have apa software for a pda. I think I would lose my mind if I had to write a research paper using my pda.

Does this help too? LOL your message is not that clear.

Alot of the programs out there for this type of formatting are crappy. It doesn't help matters also that there seem to be changes to the rules almost yearly.

Our instructors last year didn't even want us to bother using a program. We just used the most current issue of the fancy red manual.

Gosh- I love to write papers!!!!!!!

EndNote is the Be All End All APA formatting tool used by professionals who publish. I have been using it for about 3 years. They make a PDA version of it too. I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. I just insert the author name where I want the ref by clicking on a button and it automatically builds my biblio and formats it in APA as I go. When I am done, the bib is done - all formatted and PREFECT. I have not lost a single point on APA format since I started using it and got it set up the way I wanted it.

There are ways to get it for 50 dollars or so, you just have to do some digging around on the website. Check Ebay too. I use version 9 which is the newest version.

It will do APA, MLA and hundreds of other formats. It also includes templates for submission for all of the scientific journals you can possobly think of!

It works with word, it downloads all the ref articles from EBSCO or MEDLINE or whatever other database you are using - complete with abstracts and all the info you need - you don't even have to type the refs INTO the database!!!

In addition, all the refs it downloads are now keyword searchable, can be linked to PDF files on your hard drive and it will keep a database of them for you in your local library on your computer.

AlbertaRose....THANK you! That link you put up had an EXACT example of how to format this PDA program that I used to write my paper...(it was how to cite the PDA program, not an APA prog for the PDA...lol) In fact, the example program they had ion that website s one of the PDA programs I have...so I saved it into my "already-APA-formatted" folder...
