lily is a 36y/o G2P1001, MWF. her last child, Katie is 18 months old and is still nursing at night. Lilly is a certified day care worker in the toddler room at the local YMCA. She loves the job because it means she can be close to her daughter who is in the room next door. Her husband owns his own landscaping business and enjoys working outdoors. between them they make a comfortable living. they were just married three years ago and are pleased about this pregnancy since they want several children and feel they got a late start. their first daughter was delivered at the birth center. they were both very pleased with her birth and the care they received.

Today is Lilly's first prenatal visit to the birth center with this pregnancy. Her husband and daughter accompany her. The nurse finds them in the waiting room going thru the centers picture album. they find their picture from their daughter's birth and attempt to get Katie's interest. she briefly looks at it but is more interested in the toys in the children's corner. however, despite Katie's lack of interest, it is clear to the nurse that Lilly and her husband are enjoying reliving the experience through the pictures. after a brief discussion with Lilly and her husband, Lilly goes with the nurse to one of the exam rooms while her husband stays with Katie, who is busy with a set of blocks. the nurse begins Lilly's care by asking for information to establish her due date.

I dont understand what you are asking. Do you need 6 nursing diagnose? Because nobody here will just give them to you and do your homework. What have you done so far and what kind of diagnoses do you think are correct?

so far I have Topic for continued breastfeeding and the current pregnancy, I also have issues with the advanced maternal age. But would you go the route of her work or stay on track with the ama and pregnancy and breastfeeing?

What is your patient assessment? There is only a small amount of data in your scenario? Nursing diagnosis ALWAYS starts with assessment

what I have listed is all that is given to go from. this is why I was asking, which route to take. It's very Vague and confusing.

You've described a scenario. What questions come with this? What are the instructions for the assignment?

More information is needed. You cannot come up with nursing diagnoses without assessment findings.

thank you everyone for your assistance. I have no other information that was given, making it difficult to figure out which path to take. No assessment finding was given.

would you suggest using her pregnancy as a diagnosis?

Pregnancy is not a valid nursing diagnosis. It's a medical diagnosis

I'm not trying to be a smarty about this, but I have to ask: they just handed you this random scenario and did not tell you anything about what you had to do with it?

this was the scenario that was given, and I have to come up with 6 diagnosis off the information given. very generic information and no assessment which is making it difficult. so the only thing I could come up with is to base it off the pregnancy and current breastfeeding.
