Any Nurses who suffered from HEMAPHOBIA in school?

I desperately need help with this one....

I have just completed my first semester of nursing school and enjoyed it very much. I have been a CNA for two years and can deal with poop, urine, and vomit, but when it comes to blood, I get EXTREMLY queasy. I don't know what it is. It's not that I don't want to see it, but as soon as I see someone begin to bleed, I get nausous and my ears begin to ring. I then become diaphoretic and have to leave the room.

My question is: if anyone has had the same problem, how did they overcome it? I am very worried, because I do not want this to effect my career as a nurse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well...from my experience most nurses have one thing that gets to them...mine is mucus...ack! But you know I am going into my last semester of nursing school and it has gotten much easier...I just go in like when I have to suction a trach and do my job...I try not to think of the mucus..but instead just the patient and what I need to do to help them!! I work in Dialysis which is a BAD place for people that are affraid of blood..I have shadowed people that have passed out...or thrown up! Some obvioulsy have real issues but I would say 98% f them got used to it...and it just became another fluid....I do not know if this will help at all!! GL
