UltraScopes?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

Has anyone here ever bought an UltraScope? I have a Littmann Classic SE II but I am really looking at either the Cardiology III or an UltraScope! I really want to get the UltraScope because it's so personalizable and I know I would be the only one with it, but is the quality comparable to Littman? If it's not comparable to the Littmann Cardiology than I feel like I'm better spending my money there. Opinions?

Thank you nikidyo. What model would you recommend for a 1st semester nursing student (AD RN program)?

I do not have an UltraScope yet! I currently have the Littmann Classic SE II. I'm deciding between the Littmann Cardiology & UltraScope for my new one.

If you google Ultrascope..a list of retailers pops up, as does the company website. Theres a check list of "needs" (based on hearing defecit, use etc), you honestly will only need the basic model for human use, unless you have a hearing problem. How you customize it will likely change price etc etc.

Good luck! Let us know what you get! Always cool to see how people 'decorate' theirs! :)

I love my ultrascope. They have a "clearance" section where you can get one cheaper to try out.

Good day:

Is there a given type/model of ultrascope you would recommend for a 1st semester RN student?

Thank you.

Just get the UA...the standard adult one.

Love the look of the ultrascope and great sound quality too. Never had a problem with an ultrascope "growing legs".

However, I am back to Littman as I had issues with the ultrascope head falling off.

Check with your program. Many nursing programs require a stethoscope with a separate bell and diaphragm, which the ultrascope doesn't have.

If they do allow it - if you have normal hearing, you want the single. If you're hard of hearing, you want the classic. Maxiscope is the same as the ultrascope, but lower price.

Thank you!
