Shoes for Flat feet

Nurses Uniform/Gear

I need some input from the flat footed folks. I don't have a lot of padding on the bottom of my feet and the bottoms of my feet often burn when I've been on them for awhile.

Any hints or suggestion?

Have a look at Earth Shoes~http://www.earthfootwear.com

i'm also flat footed. i've been wearing nike walkers. (see below). i got them from zappos online store. they have very good arch support and are comfy. my feet don't bother me at all after working an entire shift. i ordered them in june 2010 so hopefully they still carry them, if you're interested. they had good reviews with one review from a nurse.

good luck in your search. i'm miserable when my feet hurt.

Have you looked at the KLOGSUSA Brand ? they come in polyurethaine and Leather, white, black and others.

I had the polyurethaine, for years and loved them. Cushy yet supportive sole, Look like Danskos on the uppers.

I have NO arch to my foot and found that my shoes were causing me more and more pain. Starting at my feet and going to my knees and hips. I am still young and was very uncomfortable mentally and physically knowing that I was having this pain at my age! lol Anyways, I am wearing out my first pair of ASICS. I have tried New Balance and Nike whom I spoke with my Podiatrist about and he said that those two brands specifically are made for a natural arch. I had tried insoles and everything and found nothing to work. This is the first pair of ASICS that I have owned and I love them. I use them to walk as well as on my feet at work. They are fabulous!! Give them a try. Girls at work also wear the Allegria alot but I have heard mixed comments from flat footed people as us! I thought that before investing that much into a pair of shoes, I will go with some sneakers. :)

This is my solution to being on my feet all day, and I have been so thankful I came across these shoes in my Popular Science magazine.

I got these shoes and these insole, which are suppose to support people with flat feet. Check them out, you won't be sorry.

I have pretty flat feet, too. I love my Sketchers Shape-ups. They're great. HTH

I just bought a pair from Easy Spirit, theyre regular running sneakers and are super comfortable all white leather which is a reuirement for me and really comfortable insoles with arch support and gel. my flat wide feet were on vacation in those sneakers. if you have ane asy spirit store near you you should try a few on see if you like them

I have flat feet too, and I couldn't have survived the last couple years of floor nursing without New Balance. I can put on almost any shoe they make and have it fit like it's custom-made for me. They're moderately priced---the running shoe I favored was $75/pair---and they last longer than anything you can buy at Wally World. Definitely worth the money. :yeah:

I agree - I am a new believer in New Balance. I have lots of shoes that are pretty good, that let my feet feel good - Birkenstocks, Alegrias. But a few months ago I got a pair of the New Balance 850, and I am in love with them. They are toning shoes, but they aren't high and ugly like the Skechers. They're actually really cute. The have a slight rounding to the bottom which actually helps speed up my pace and reduce fatigue, and the padding is very good. Highly recommended.

I have really flat feet and no arch. When I started nursing i tried so many shoes and brands to help my badly aching feet (I was only 25). I finally came across the NIKE SHOX (mesh not leather) I love them!!! I have had my first pair for about a year and a half and they are still in great condition. Of course I have purchase a couple of others!!! Thank You NIKE SHOX:yeah:
