Has anyone taken A&P I with lab or II with lab through straighterline? if so, would you recommend it?!?!
Hello hapahearthero!
I have recently completed A and P I and II with lab. If you are self motivated and do not require someone to push or motivate you, then these courses are terrific. They are challenging, not at all like some on-line programs. The exams are timed and are short. With this said, you must read your chapters and go through all of the practice games/ exercises prior to taking an exam. If you do this, you will do fine. Just wish they offered microbiology with lab as well:-) best of luck to you!

Hello,
I too tried the straighterline.com. I am happy to see so many good things posted about their program. If you can get the credit and get the grade you need then they are awesome. Didn't happen for me. In Nutrition I made a 76, 20 minute tests. I retook the class and made a 82. 82 was not a B. I had to take it again and made another 82 then it was a B as they average the attempts not give the higher letter grade. I didn't get a B until 76+82+82 averaged to an 80. I had to have an A for my req'd gpa. I retook the class at Odessa Jr. College and got that A! Now in straighterline's defense, this policy is clearly listed in FAQ's and in their literature. Just get off to a good start and improve.
Thanks...

Does anyone know if Excelsior requires proctoring for the Straighterline A&P 2 Final Exam?? Let me know ASAP please, thanks
You need to speak to the accepting university and find out if they will accept the credits from the school you want to take the class from.. do that first.. once you find one that is acceptable you can go for it.. I contacted excelsior .. first.. and sent the class and school info.. they emailed me back yes they would accept.. and then I had the credits transferred.. it worked for meR.

Romstead,
Did you take A&p through straighterline? If so, did excelsior require it to be proctored?

Yes I took A&P one with lab and A&P two with no lab.. the labs were not required by EC.. but I did it for my own fun.. and No they did not require a Proctor.. but I took it a few months back. things might have changed you always.. always get approval from EC before you take this class

I know this thread is old, but I'll give it try anyway. If you use straighterline to get a few of the Gen. Ed. Credits for your BSN at WGU, or any one of straighterlines other partner schools, and actually graduate from the school with a degree and plan to pursue graduate study (Like for NP), will an issue arise if you got credits from straighterline and the school your applying too for graduate study is not a straighterline affiliate school? Thanks.
good question.. you need to have a discussion with the school you are thinking of countinueing your degree with.. you must find out before you sign up with Straighterline..

Has anyone taken microbiology through Straighterline? I am needing to take that and Anatomy and Physiology II before I can get into the nursing program. If my school will accept the credits from them I would like to go that route for cost and time....How was your overall experience with Straighterline?

I’m new to Straightline and wanted to know how are the test, quizzes and final. I read in another site that the test are open book. Just wanted some more info since getting a C in Microbiology, A&P2 and a D+ in Chemistry gotta see how to get a nursing program acceptable grade. Thanks in advance
