I took Intro to Chemistry with lab worth 5 credits with ccconline. It wasn't self paced, but very doable. I never had chemistry before and the course was the right pace for me. I had a week to get each unit done and that was ample amount of time for the amount of work required. The instructor was great also. I believe his name was something like Kepler?

Good luck.

They have over 250 courses that you can take self paced. The minimum time to complete is 2 weeks per credit.

Also, I am taking General Chem I through Edukan.

It's not self paced, but it's really not too bad.

The instructor is GREAT and is always availble to answer questions and help out.

Let me know if you want more info.

Who is your instructor? I need to take Chem 1 next for a BS to BSN program and I want to find an instructor that is good for online learning. Please let me know when you get the chance.

Also, how good are you in chemistry? I got a "B" in the fundamentals of chem class I took. However, that was my first experience with chemistry.

Thanks!

I am sending you a PM.

I am ok at chemistry. Honestly I have learned so much through this course.

Since you already have fundamentals of chem under your belt, you should be fine!

The online labs and home labs are really fun too.

I am taking General Chem through EduKan. Like I said in my previous post, it's not too bad. As long as you are motivated and do the work required...you will do fine. I dedicate about 5 hours a week to it. Sometimes less, depending on what the week has in it.

PM if you want more info. The prof is great and really makes learning chem fun which makes all of the difference.

Specializes in Level III cardiac/telemetry.

Where do you go on the OU website to see their online classes? I want to do their LPN-BSN program in a couple of years and have heard you sometimes get preference if you are or have been an OU student. Is that true? If so, I may fork out some money for a couple of classes like sociology or something even though I am almost done with my gen eds/prereqs.

Lana,

I have heard that too that OU gives preference to their students for admission. I plan on going the RN-BSN route in a few years too through them.
