nurse from Europe trying to get license by online course

Hello!

I really need your help..

I am a RN nurse from Austria, Europe and I am trying to get my licese here.

The Board of Nursing requires me now to do one additional course,

Psychiatric Nursing,theory and clinical to fufill the standard requirements to do

my NCLEX exam here. Does anyone now whether there are universities in the New York area allowing me to do this one course or preferrably also online courses eventually with the possibility to do the clinical too? I heard about Excellsior College but they don't offer the clinical that I need too. I appreciate any advice!

I am pregnant too so time is running a little right now...

You would need to contact the schools in NY to see if there are any openings for the classes that you need. You want to apply as a guest student, not as a regular student, which means that you will not be getting a degree from there.

If you check out the UK forum, there is a post by TinaK giving the name of a program in Canada that you can use..........most of it is on-line except for the few weeks of clinicals that you have to actually go there.

Unfortunately Langara College said they don't offer this course anymore. Does anyone have any other advice, any other online courses offering this course and also the clinical? Thank you very much
