Hi everyone, I am a new EC applicant in NY and would like to know if anyone else from NY are in my shoes? I am really bewildered just trying to sort through my thoughts about distance learning and the steps to go about doing the actual program any suggestions would be more than helpful...you guys are a great bunch!! Welcome to allnurses and a future welcome to EC....as you already know I'm in Brooklyn, so whatever local assistance you may need I'll be here. I just missed the deadline for the scholarships but still can apply early for the ones in October.

Take advantage of all the knowledge that lies within the threads they hold a whole source of imformation. Start early, you can begin with Health Safety now, download the content guides, get the recommended study materials and begin your journey. Please also take advantage of EC's Practice Exams they let you know where to focus.

Again, any information that you need don't be afraid to post a thread. Usually someone knows or someone else needs to know. Good Luck and God Bless.

Thank you so much Kiz I really appreciate the encouragement hey did you hear about a criminal backgroud check that must be done after the EC application? I just read some where on here a few moments ago about this. I know it has to be done sometime but to have it with the application process will only take more time and I need my job so badly!!

No, the criminal background check is done at CPNE time if I'm not mistaking. When I applied the only thing they did was evaluate my transcripts unless the process has changed.

Hey what if you get all the way to the CPNE and your criminal background check comes back....ah criminal. What kinds of things do they check for anyway? Hope not things like disturbing the peace and jay walking....haha
