Names of Online MSN(FNP) Schools

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I was in a traditional MSN(FNP) program part-time up until last winter when my dad died suddenly. Now I will have to jump through a lot of hoops to go back into that program. I am very seriously considering the online route, but I have very limited information on this way of learning. I live in Kentucky so any information on a good school selection would be helpful.

vickiMSN(FNP),

I have been looking at the University of South Alabama for later in my educational career. They offer several speciality NP programs online and their tuition seems reasonable.

Hope this is helpful.

How about Frontier Nursing School? It's even in Kentucky.

Specializes in ICU/CCU/MICU/SICU/CTICU.

UAB in Birmingham also has an FNP online. They require you to come to campus 1 day/semester, this was for a suturing class and something else that could not be done online. The program is 5-6 semesters full time or 7 part time.

There ya go.

Specializes in HH, ER.

Right now I am working on my ADN and I should graduate in May. This is a school I am looking into for after I finish my RN.

Specializes in Tele, Home Health, MICU, CTICU, LTC.

When looking at BSN online programs I noticed the the University of Wyoming-Laramie has an online FNP program. I do believe you have to go to Laramie once a semester or so. Might be worth checking into though.
