Would anyone who has passed or is testing for the CPNE mind taking a looking at one of my pcs runthroughs? I have submitted a couple to Dr. A, but I haven't heard back from her yet and I feel like I can't really go forward much if I have know idea where I'm messing up. I'd love to have feedback from those out there who have already gone through this or are working on it right now. I've attached it. Thanks so much! :)

a couple of things ....and mind you its been a while since i have taken the cpne.... however , i feel that you need to simplify that second care plan and not use tissue perfusion. during my workshop i was told over and over not to use careplans that required some type of lab to confirm that the problem is corrected or better. you should be able to carry out and evaluate your careplan with in your pcs time....there are generic careplans that generally work for everyone...i think all that is required is a actual problem which you have and a potential problem.....is that right...your potential could be pain ...you have already addressed the pain issue so make it into a careplan....

another thing and i cant tell from your post but want to remind you not to do anything for the patient that is not assigned.. dont do coughing and deep breathing if only incentive spirometry is ordered....also check on the correct wording for charting breath sounds. they changed the how they wanted it worded right before i took my cpne.....

Thank you both so much! I forgot about not being able to use two assessments. And I'm definitely trying to come up with some diagnoses that are easier to do. Txspadequeen, you are right. I need to change my wording. Good thing I don't have to do this thing tomorrow! I still have work to do! :)
