- May 16, '12 by RonnieDitaI would love love love to go to WGU after I'm done with my ADN. However, the Master's program I want to go into requires a 3.2 in your BSN GPA. WGU is pass/fail so you finish with a 3.0 GPA. :/ major bummer for me...
- May 18, '12 by PMFB-RNFWIW I know of two people in the unit I work with who have been accepted to CRNA programs after earning their BSN through WGU. One is in school now and one will start this month.
- May 18, '12 by PMFB-RNQuote from RonnieDitaI have never heard of a program that seperates your BSN GPA from your nursing school GPA. Weird. All the programs I have ever looked at considered the whole GPA, not just that of the RN to BSN.I would love love love to go to WGU after I'm done with my ADN. - May 20, '12 by Emilynn09Have you considered Chamberlain? They are both Regionally and CCNE accredited, it takes 9 months and there are no clinicals. I've also heard good things about WGU as well, they are a public non-profit with regional and CCNE accreditations as well.
- May 24, '12 by CeraR-BSNRNQuote from RonnieDitaI graduated my ADN with a 3.77 and BSN from WGU with the standard 3.0 - my cumulative would be 3.38. WGU does have a masters program that can be done in as little as 1 year if you're well motivated.I would love love love to go to WGU after I'm done with my ADN. - May 24, '12 by m2736185SO you guys are saying WGU....is no different than any of the other BSN programs in terms of acceditations? My main issue is if I decide to further my education and become a NP...how will WGU look to other schools?

My advice about furthering your education is to make contact with the school you would like to get your NP done at and see what they think about WGU and how their transfer policy works there.
I think that would be the best bet. The only thing that I see with WGU is that you cannot get any higher than a 3.0, which isn't a bad GPA, but if you want to be more competitive, I would choose a school with a traditional grading system and make sure you get really good grades.
