I will be graduating with an ADN next year, and am looking into the RN to Masters program at Excelsior. Anyone have experience with this particular program? I already have a BS in engineering. I'm assuming this won't affect where I would begin the Excelsior program, or will it?

Thanks,

Beth

yes, i think if you've got a bsn it will help you. i'm leaning toward their certificate in informatics, especially if my employer will pony up for it.

I am completing my RN-BSN online curently, three classes to go. I am looking at several masters programs online and I am really not sure what direction to go. Any info who be appreiciated. :monkeydance:

The best way to know where you stand is to talk directly with an EC advisor, but I can tell you that I'm working on my BSN stuff now and I chose not to go the RN to MSN route. Just felt like it was a really long time to be tied down to one program (you get the BSN and MSN at the same time) and my interests are more clinical than management or informatics. Some of your previous coursework will certainly count toward your degrees, but there will still be a lot of work to do for both BSN and MSN.

heh. it all sounds like too much work for me. i'm figuring the graduate level informatics certificate would be simple since i'm a former cpa. i'm hoping to just waltz all over those classes :).

since i'm going after an mba, it seems like too much to try to grow beyond bedside nurse in the clinical side. i don't see how a bsn or an msn would help me.
