Unsubstantiated status on Child Abuse Registry

I was wondering if anybody knows if an unsubstantiated classification on the child abuse registry would stop me from getting employment as a CNA. Unsubstantiated means that they could not find me guilty of child abuse only because they lacked sufficient enough evidence to do so. I was NOT convicted or found guilty of child abuse. I never appealed it, but now I think I should. Does anybody know if nursing homes check child abuse registries?

Obviously, you need to ask an attorney that question.

However...I think part of it boils down to common sense.

Child abuse registeries for healthcare professionals are public information...so you have the right to check the SAME list as any potential employer.

To me, that would be the easiest to find out if you were on the list or not.

I don't know of any state, where "accused" equals "convicted", IF, as you say, they did not find you guilty.
