I'm an idiot for not notifying the BON when this happened, but I wasn't working as an RN at the time and was more scared about dealing with the consequences of the DUI. I completed a drug and alcohol evaluation and substance abuse class, paid numerous fines and completed the terms of my PBJ (probation before judgment). I did not have a lawyer when I went through the DUI proceedings. I am working as an RN now and had no problems clearing my pre-employment background check. I am terrified to admit this to the BON because I have no idea how this is going to interfere with my renewal. Please don't criticize me.

Get a lawyer ready, then notify your BON and set this all right. You are going to have to address this eventually; better you do it now than at renewal...or before the BON finds out on their own.

Do not face the BON alone on this one, IMO. You need someone there putting you and your interests first...hence the lawyer.

Best of luck.

I had some questions about renewing pretty much in the same boat do you think you can email me I would really appreciate it [email protected].

Yes disclose everything...I received a dwi that was dismissed after a was granted a pre trial diversion and my case was supposed to be "sealed" but a couple of months ago I received a letter that I did not disclose this info and so now I received a warning with stipulations on my license for not disclosing :/
