question about traffic violations

Nurses Criminal

Published

Hi, before I wrote this thread, I have went through all the threads about traffic violations when applying for the licesure by examination. Where do you find your past traffic violations record? I went to DMV and I got a certified DMV record that came back clean. I know it's because I went to traffic school. But I can't seem to remember all my traffic tickets and how I paid them. It's scaring me. I don't know how it will affect my application. I honestly cannot remember how many of them were over $300. It seems logical to report all of them, but I can't even find those info. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Most BONs care about misdemeanors and felonies......traffic tickets are only considered "infractions" in the overwhelming majority of cases, and thus don't have to be reported. They're technically not crimes, so they aren't fodder for the board to chew on when deciding whether to issue you a nursing license.

I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you, unless you didn't take care of them; failure to appear in court or failure to pay an imposed fine strays into misdemeanor territory. That's another whole kettle of fish you don't want to stink up your application, so if you're unsure at all, check with the clerk of the court in the jurisdiction where you got your ticket(s) to see if your record is clear. Good luck!

Hello guys, myself have a 3 citation of suspended DL in ca. And scared to death any info will help. Thanks
