Nursing License and MIC/MIPs

Nurses Criminal

Hello! Has anybody ever had to go through the enforcement review for MIC/MIPs (minor in consumption/possession of alcohol)? I am just wondering what the outcome has been of people in similar situations as me.... TPAPN? What kind of stipulations on license? etc.... I'm not really sure what to expect will happen to my license at this point. Also, I'm in Texas if that helps at all. Thanks!

Moving to the Nursing Licensure with a Criminal History forum, as you are dealing with possession charges. Please be advised that this is a moderated forum and all responses are reviewed before being made visible. Therefore, it may take a bit for replies to appear.

I have four MIC's and drunk in public annnnd a theft by the time I was 22! All when I was in college. I got the Arizona equivalent to TPAPN which is called CANDO. 3 years with drug tests, Aa meetings, IOP, aftercare and a nurse recovery group. I'm 17 months in - it's overwhelming at first but after I maintained sobriety it's been easy. I got my license a few months after I applied and got my auth to test after I sent in all the information. I was being faced with a disorderly conduct too which was later dropped so it possible to get a license you just gotta jump through the hoops!

Oh forget to mention I had a narcotics restriction for 6 months and not able to float or initially work over 80 hrs. Now I have my narc priveledges and can work nights and 88 hrs of need be
