Interview Mon, Do you disclose pending charge to interviewer?

Nurses Criminal

Hi everyone.

I'll get straight to the point.

I have an interview coming up with a hospital.

On the job app, it doesn't ask of pending charges, only convictions.

I have no criminal record, EVER IN MY LIFE, BUT, in April, someone alleged an accusation on me, and I am facing charges, that are still pending.

The civil aspect was dismissed due to insufficient facts, but as always the criminal aspect takes time.

Should I make it known to the employers during the interview, giving me the chance to explain the situation (I have no convictions, so I have no criminal record, but the case is pending) so when they do a background check, they have some input about it and not wonder, because I have no clue what will show up

Or

Because I have no conviction, or record, bringing it up in explanation during the interview may not be best to do, because I don't have a conviction or record, and they may end up not finding anything anyway.

What about arrest record?

It's a sad, unfortunate situation, but God is in control

Input please?

Firstly, good luck on your interview.

The question on the application is very straight forward...have you been CONVICTED of a crime? It's a yes or no question and only requires explanation if you checked "yes" on the app. Do not mention it during the interview. They will not ask and I'm pretty sure only prior convictions show up on background checks.

If by some chance you are convicted, then that's when the employer should be notified especially if your sentencing requires you to be incarcerated.

You will jeopardize your chances to be considered for employment if you disclose something that has not been decided yet. Especially if you disclose and the case is dropped.
