Domestic Battery

Nurses Criminal

Published

I have been convicted on a misdemeanor charge domestic battery, first time, Jan 2015. I got into an argument with my ex-gf on which we aren't together anymore. There weren't any marks or bruises on her. All she had was her statement against me, and I got no statement on her. The other cases charge were dismissed. I have no records whatsoever. I am 40 years old and can't really say I was young and dumb. I am almost done with my pre reqs in RN. My worry is not getting in the program, but in clinical rotation. Can anyone shed a light on this situation? I am really getting frustrated. Do I still have hope in this matter? I feel like the issuing of misdemeanors abruptly by the law, they do not take into account the history of an individual if they are really that violent or a pattern. Why can't they give you a warning at first? I know they just do not want to be held responsible if anything happened. But by doing that they are actually destroying the other persons life on the account of another persons complain whether it is warranted or not.
