LPN needing more experience

Hello everyone I would like some advice as to how I can gain more experience in other areas of nursing. Right now I have two years of experience mainly in a doctors office which hasn't allowed me to use all of my skills and knowledge as an LPN. I have applied to some LTC facilities but it seems as if without LTC experience they don't even consider me. So what to do? I really would prefer not to go back into the medical office setting but that is what seems to be my only option for now..
