Help New grad in a new state, what to do?

Im a new grad RN (graduated in June 2012) and unexpectanly moved from Oregon to Las Vegas, NV. It is very different her in NV. First of all applications are on line and it seems that new grads are only hired durring a small time frame between May and June.. of course I missed that. I am stuck in a rock and a hard place I have applied to almost 50 possitions and have been declined for all, I do not know what to do. I am volunteering at a Volunteers in Medicine clinic and taking my ACLS class later this month to keep my mind fresh. Any suggestions? How can I meet locals and get my name out there?

I'm in the same position. I moved from Indiana to Florida right after nursing school. I don't know a soul. It really is not helping my Job Search any. I would love to see what others have to say about this situation. I wish I had something to offer advice or otherwise Good luck! I am also volunteering at a hospital to start to meet people/network. Even if I don't end up working there it's a start!
