Texting & Driving: Must See Video

Nurses Safety

Published

Nurses live & breath safety & teaching. I was given the opportunity to watch this video in a recent class and it teaches more than I could ever could with words.

I've been able to take it forward as a teaching tool. The "doll's eyes" really get me...as does the entire video.

Take a peek. It's hard to watch but it's a great lesson. It makes me think twice about texting as I drive home from work...

I remember seeing that a few years ago during a new employee orientation at a hospital. Can't really remember why it was shown, but it's very powerful.

Have you heard of the "Every 15 Minutes" program that they're doing at high schools?

Wow klone, BSN, RN just wow. I've never heard of that and it's also amazingly powerful. Just reading the first page (thanks for posting the link) gave me goosebumps.

What an impactful teaching method. I'm sure it's saved lives.

Even using a mobile (cell) phone while driving is illegal in UK. You get fined and points on your licence. 12 points and you lose your licence.

Still some morons insist that their conversations/texts are more important than other peoples lives.

They did the every 15 minutes at my high school. It was very eye opening

Texting and driving is so 2009. Playing candycrush and driving is a true test of skill. Especially the timed levels.
