I typed mine before reading yours. Sorry. Guess it was meant to be. You did hurt me.....cause my life is a miracle.
Just please pray for my son Ryan with his numerous bone scans and trips to children's..... I am a single mom .... ex-husband was a magistrate and embezzled 75 grand and I divorced him. Poverty is my middle name.
    Life is grand.
    But God is greater.

It has been 2.5 weeks for me. I have been taking the new prescription drug Chantix. Of all the times I have tried in the past, this is the first time I have not had any cravings!! I love it. I do on occasion think about smoking but it is just a fleeting thought. I am confident that is the time for me to kick the habit for good!

Just a by-the by--I can't figure out what zoeboboey said that angered Miracles1986 so much. If either of you happen to read this, I reread both several times and can't find anything offensive. Perhaps there was a misread/misunderstanding. This is definetely a support forum and we do appreciate everyone's input!

I've never heard of that medication, when did it come out and how does it work? Congratulations on the 2.5 weeks, WHOO HOO!

Miracle and I conversed off the board and we're ok, thanks though!

Hi guys! This is my 10th day nonsmoking

I threw a PE 10 days ago so no more smoking for me ever! I have been smoking for 25years without quitting.

Most of the time I am doing ok with quitting. I am wearing a patch. but there are times when I could smoke a whole pack lol. I have even dreamed about it! I have a great support system and even joined the smoking cessation program at work.

I am totally serious about living.

I almost died 10 days ago. Iam not going to kill myself any longer.

I just hope I dont eat a carton lol

    Congratulations!

There's a great book by Allen Carr called "The EasyWay to Stop Smoking" - it's helped numerous people I know to quit. Also good to reinforce your decision if you need additional inspiration!

I am very glad to hear ya'll are back on the same page!

Chantix (varenicline) is relatively new but I am not sure when it came out. They do have a website if anyone wants to check it out. It is Chantix I believe. I have tried to quit several times in the past. I have done cold turkey, the patch, Wellbutrin and was never completly "cured." I hope this will be my time!!
