What to do with COWs/WOWs.

by jmgrn65 Premium Member

TJC says that the only things allowed in hallways are: codecarts and isolation carts. So what are you supposed to do with your WOW? Any suggestions? Ideas?

Same thing everyone else on the planet does. Keep them in the halls and wait for the radar to annouce an inspection to shove them into patients' rooms, where they don't belong, really, either.

We have never been sited if the nurse was actually standing with it in the door way and administering meds when the Surveyor passed by. Those left in the hallway unattended............thats another story.

We also have an empty room on most units where we store the COWs/WOWs and other equipment not in use.

You have an extra room?! Wow, you're lucky.

Seriously. My office is in what I think was a big closet.
