Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply in SLMC-e.rod, though I heard that they will start the hiring process this coming September.. Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background)..

Your replies would be greatly appreciated..

Godbless! :wink2:

The didactic phase is the one that will end on the 26th. Clinical phase will start beyond that point up til 2 months. Evaluations will be done on a regular basis to determine if a trainee will be recommended for hiring. Recommendations may be given as early as the 1st month of the clinicals.

how can you apply for post graduate training?

What do you mean by it(PGNT)will cost a lot of money? How much and how long is the training? Do they also have a chance to be hired at SLMC after the training?

the HR told us, that the clinical phase is a 1 month duration exposure instead of 2 months. No more no less. also, after being hired, a 3 year contract will be made, instead of 2.

How much is the training fee? When is it expected to start? Thank you!

Hi guys! It's been 2 weeks since I passed my requirements in SLMC-QC but until now I haven't received any texts, calls or emails from them. I haven't followed up my application yet but I callled them up the other day to ask if they are still hiring staff nurse and the reply I received was like, Actually we are specific with applications now... You must have a board rating of 80 up, and a GWA of 2.0 or 85 percent. Well, I have an 80 up board rating but my GWA is a little below their prescribed grade. I am quite sad because from the looks of it, they already junked my application since from what I read from the previous pages of this thread, after their application was passed, they were already invited to take a qualifying exam the following day. Do you guys think I should still follow up my application?

Did anyone here passed their requirements at SLMC QC this March? Do you guys have any progress?

I also did not get calls from them I pass my requirements 2 weeks ago. I also follow up my application to my friend who works there and said that they are still on the screening process.

Thank you for responding! Can you keep us updated in the future also with any developments in your SLMC-QC application, please? Another thing, this is a little awkward but I would like to ask if you have both the prescribed 80 up board rating and GWA of 2.0 up? Sorry I cannot PM yet coz I'm still new here but you can PM me your answer if you don't want to divulge the info in public. Thanks in Advance!

The process for the other applicants from the previous month are faster because that was the time when the DCA was completing the number of applicants in that batch. The process has slowed down for now because they have already completed their target number of nurses for the next training schedule. In fact, they have the tentative date for their start I think next week.

You're welcome! My board rating is above 80 and my gwa is 88.

Oh, Ok. Thank you for that! So I guess I have to pass again my application next year since, as to what I have read from the previous pages, they will not be having another NSET batch after the second one this year... Whew...

Re: NSET and PGNT, sir since you're already training there, I would like to ask you a favor to please give us updates about it if there are still any in the future. Thank you!

@Bengmarie:Oh I see. You have a high GWA indeed. If only I studied well in college. :lol2::lol2::lol2:
