Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply in SLMC-e.rod, though I heard that they will start the hiring process this coming September.. Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background)..

Your replies would be greatly appreciated..

Godbless! :wink2:

To bunnyRN, allow me to answer some of your questions:1. How many days a week do you have duty?2. How many hours per shift?3. Do they train you for only one area?I worked in SLMC for three years, just Recently passed my resignation. Anyways, their NSET program hasnt changed since then (I dont know this year)..But based on my experience and based on the experience of my senior nurses there and my trainees, we had the same NSET course or program.For the first month you will have a didactic phase, school hours 8am to 4pm or 5pm if im not mistaken, that is from monday to friday That will cover different topics from the basics to the diseases. And also includes return demonstration of different nursing procedures (of course they will teach you first). This is some sort of refresher course which I think is good especially for those who have no experience or for those who have been away from the nursing field for a while. Since you will be oriented in the ideal way or St. Luke's way and you will be using in the demo the same materials or equipments that you will encounter in the hospital, you have to remember everything. After this, you will have different trainings, BLS etc. During the entire didactic phase, you will will be going to SLMC from monday to friday 8am to 4pm. Then OJT phase, you will have your rotation in two different areas either in am(6-2) or pm(2-10) shift and again monday to friday. Guys, im telling you, the training in SLMC is all worth it. So if i were you, if you will be given this oppurtunity to work there, go grab it!

@Neversmile

those who had their interview last feb 9,may i know guys when did you submitted your requirements in the pigeon box? and do you have previous experiences as a staff nurse? TIA..! :nurse:

they also told me to wait for about 1-2 weeks after the final interview. I heard that they are just finishing all final interviews for the second batch and once they call you up, the training would start on March.

@cheezy_curls I submitted my application Feb 7, then I received a text that same day inviting me for an exam the following day. I had my exam then, and I was asked to come for the initial interview on feb. 9..

Thanks so much ianjel. That helps a lot. Wow 3 years from St. Lukes. :bow: How was it like working there? Was it hard?

Anyone out there who have just submitted their applications? Are they still accepting?

Thanks so much
