how was it? can you share your experiences? I heared there's a height requirement? Did they already pick applicants that are for training?

my friend was interviewed 1 week ago and the interviewer said she like the way she answered the questions but the problem was her body figure and height... =(

Yes I heard the same. So what happened to your friend's application? does it mean she didn't make it? Can I ask your friend's weight and height?

Can it also be that your friend is not qualified in some aspect and the St. Luke's HR was just using the height/weight excuse??? Did your friend mention anything about how the interview went or did they (HR) look for special trainings like BLS or IVT that your friend might not have?

thank you diapersprikles! just read your thread. how was your interview?

i read to some forums that physical appearance plays a factor (height and weight, some say even the complexion), do you encounter such thing?

hope your interview has a positive result. if it's ok let me know what happen. feedbacks will be much appreciated!

i think that its a nice opportunity to be employed there as a pioneer!

and its st. luke's one of the best hospital here!

I passed my resume then after 4 days I got a text message, for an initial interview. Everyone's dressed up, so If you want to make a nice impression, I suggest you do the same. We were interviewed in 5's. The host throws questions and everyone's given a chance to speak. First there is the whole tell me something about yourself tirade. Then your plans in 10 years or so. Then, why SLMC? That's about it. I wasnt called back for a technical interview yet, though the HR of SLMC-QC called me to report for a screening for an ancillary job at the main hospital. (I basically distributed my resume to all HRs of SLMC- Global City, Dept of Clinical Advancement- staff nurse for QC, and HR at annexII- ancillary nurse for different areas)

Guys, if you want to apply at HR at annex II, theyre definitely hiring. Though you wont be assigned at the floor. Rather in areas like Renal unit, Endoscopy, Women's health, CTscan, Brachytherapy, Sleep Disorders, Bone Marrow, and other. For those who hate wearing stockings under your nurse dress (given Manila's weather), this is the perfct position for you! You get to wear the blue scrubs.

Good luck! :nurse:

Hi yoojin...

Re: Guys, if you want to apply at HR at annex II, theyre definitely hiring.

Do you know what they're looking for here? Is it still for a nurse position? And do you know where I should pass my resume for this?

Any info is appreciated...and thanks in advance...

hi Yoo jin, I'm also interested i being a part of the St. Luke's Medical Center even if it's just ancillary. So we'll just go straight to the HR right? I tried submitting my credentials in the Dept. for Clinical Advancement but still no call from them so I'm gonna try being in ancillary. Thanks for the info!

earthly jewels and hinageshi, they are looking for nurses too. If you like other nursing jobs just like I have said, its also good to have these as your starting career point. SLMC offers a lot of trainings and seminars for free once your part of the family. I was once part of SLMC and I really enjoyed my stay there, thats why I am trying to get back.

When you enter SLMC main entrance, climb one flight of stairs, and youll see ANNEX II notice right in front of you. at the end of the hall, theres an elevator, go to the 5th floor, and when you get off, youll see a glass door that says Human Rsources. I suggest you personally hand your resume to a personnel, because we all know how pigeon hole works right?

I went to SLMC today, sadly I left my resume to the dropbox. I went to the 5th floor anex II before doing so and it was posted that only applicants for examination are allowed and if you are submiting your resume it should be placed at the dropbox located at the groundfloor of the main building.

2 huge boxes are placed one top of the other placed at the cardiovascular area. I kinda pick through the whole of the top one its already full but the bottom one looks like its empty. I don't know if that's good or bad because there is no certainty that the HR people check them at a daily basis ( *sigh* there goes another resume ). I never got a call when I sumbmit a resume for the SLMC-GC hopefully I will get one this time :sofahider

Yeah, that's how things work at present. You won't be entertained by the HR. That's what also happened when I went there some months ago before I even knew of the opening for SLMC-GC.

I really prefer working in QC because Taguig is just so far from home. So I was hoping that I could get in.

Hello again Yoojin, would you happen to know anybody who got a job as ancillary recently? What exactly do they do?What's their work schedule? The last time I went to the HR, they posted something that directs interested nurse applicants to the Dept of Clinical Advancement. I already did that months ago.
