are you saying that MCU is already accepting for nurse training? may i ask if when will it start and how much is that training?

i recommend you the Caloocan City Medical Center but their volunteer nurse training will start accepting applications on December. So you need to wait still. :(

may i ask if AFP Med Center will give allowance for their nurse trainees?

No. but you won't pay them for training either. so i guess, it's alright. ;) I tell you, you will really learn a lot from this institution.

I think they are conducting exams this month until November. However, you are allowed to take the exam as long as you have registered prior to the schedule. But I think as of today, slots are already full. You can drop by at the nursing education and training branch of AFPMC at V.Luna to inquire if they still accept examinees.

And by the way, if you can't take the exam this Oct-Nov 2013 for the February-August 2014 Batch. I think the next exam schedule is May-June 2014 for the August 2014-February 2015 Batch. Ask them when they will start registration for the examination. You have to be there on the first day of registration because slots for exam are easily filled up.

AFAIK, they are not strict when it comes to board rating ang GWA :) But a high rating is always an advantage.. Just do your best on the exams. :)

Hi! I am a graduate of the RN Residency program of AFPMC

It's true!, it's free, no allowance, 6 months clinical experience.

Even though you won't get any form of compensation, working there had been a great pleasure. I was assigned in 3 different wards. Cardiovascular (my fave!) OB and Ophthalmology. all of which are very relevant, you will really use all your nursing skills here, even up to the limit! There is also a chance to get assigned in OR, ONCO, RENAL (DIALYSIS included) Psyche and Neuro! If you want to kick start your and didn't want to pay for expensive post grad training, maybe this is where you should start :) Afterall, a hired staff nurse and an RN Resident have the same job description, sometimes RN res' have to do more than that...

Goodluck sir :)
