Looking for Nursing Experience Paid or Volunteer in Manila

World Philippines

Published

Hi Guys!

I am currently out of the country and based in singapore and the nursing agency that I signed up with requires that I get some nursing experience paid or volunteer before the consul interview or else they will drop the petition. I just received recently my uscis approval and I know its still a long way to go.

I need your suggestion regarding hospitals in Manila or Singapore wherein I can apply and get some nursing experience with certification at least 3-6 months preferably OR, CCU or ER.

Hope to hear from you guys!

hello shubii!well yeah its been all busy days this past weeks!so far exposure is good but ill tell you it will depend on which ward you'll be assigned but yeah it's still a very good experience.

my first month am assigned at MS ward, so its all carrying out docs order and some basic procvedures...:nurse:..its a gradual learning process because i was first assigned at private division then now at charity division where a higher census is expected..decision making and time management is a must superb thing to learn.

my second month which is by next week I'll be assigned at critical care unit. I heard from others who had been there already, i quote "super lot of things to learn"...ill continue this after the exposure. :)

i am not sure but september you might want to follow up already because our training will end by then so theyl probably open slots again.

ill post it soonessstt once i hear from the nursing service..

Godbless you too.. Thankyou

Hi,

When is the registration for that said training?

Thanks.

hi yousushey! do you happen to know when USTH will start accepting applicants for their next batch of trainees? and when the next training would start? thank you!

Hello shubichilipepper! I am also undergoing the training at the ust hospital and I'm telling you, it's all worth it! I was first rotated in the cardiovascular unit for 1 week, critical care unit in the 2nd week and surgical intensive care unit in my 3rd wk. I can't believe I have learned so much in a span of 3 weeks. Almost all of the patients are mechanically ventilated and we are assigned 2-3 patients per trainee. Cases include MI, CVA, post craniectomy, Guillan Barre, post ptca, patients an many others. At first I wanted to quit due to information overload :chuckle but as time passes by, I get used to it and I feel like I don't want to leave the critical care unit. I want to be assigned there forever! Right now, I am already assigned in the private division ward... and I'm already missing the thrill and excitement in providing overall patient care in the intensive care units. I love the being an intensive care unit nurse. I've already found which area I belong...yey!:yeah: I hope you could also apply to their training, it's worth your while :)

Hi Trulyblessed!!

How are you guys? Are you done with your training?

Do you know when will be the next batch ?

Please keep us posted!

Thank you very much.:)

Be bless!!

does anybody know when the next training would start? and is there a chance of being hired after the training?

hey, how much do you have to pay for the said training in ust? wow...shubichillipepper....good for you. youve found your area. i hope i can find mine too

For younger guys out there that is still looking for a nursing job try your luck at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital. They have openings for Staff Nurses, Trainees, and Volunteer Nurses alike. The sad thing is that they only accept applicants with an age limit of not more than 25 years old. Very very sad indeed specially for second coursers. Well good luck for those who will try! :D

to echo12: where is Our lady of Lourdes hospital located? I'm planning to visit the area..thanks!
