Originally from Ottawa and Stirling, Ontario. Took training at AHP and AHE to become an RPN. Then went to GMCC for the RN.
Have lived the last 13 years in Phili, but now thinking of moving back to be with my 3 old nephew and because I have never written the NCLEX. I have a PA license and if I had a permanent visa there would not be a problem.

Got my RN-BSN in Houston, Texas last year. My plans are to relocate to Ontario Canada in April (2006) after I get married.
Good! WE NEED YOU! Congrats on graduating and your pending nuptials!
I graduated with my Bsc Pharm in 1996 from Wayne State University (Michigan)-practiced pharmacy for 5 years and returned to get my BScN and have been LDRP nursing ever since. I worked in San Francisco for one year and now work in Ontario (full-time) and Michigan (contingent).

Hey SuperFlyRN,
Just wondering about your previous pharmacy experiences, why did you
switch careers? did you find pharmacy extremely boring? (were you doing clinical/hospital pharmacy or retail?)
thanks!

I briefly did community and than hospital which I really liked. There was a lot more patient involvement and teaching involved. When I went into pharmacy I was deciding on nursing or pharmacy and (at the time) pharmacists were in great demand and I had already done some previous pharmacy technician experience-so I figured, might as well. Upon seeing the fabulous nurses on the units I figured a change was due. It is nice having both-I can draw on a lot from my previous experience. Thanks for your interest:wink2:
